Picture quality
High-Definition
Crisp, clear picture quality.
High-definition TVs—or HD TVs—come in two resolutions: 720p and 1080p. Movies and TV shows are widely available in HD, so you can enjoy great picture quality while watching your favorite entertainment.
4K Ultra HD
4x the resolution. 4x the detail.
The higher the resolution, the more detailed a picture can be. So for picture quality that’s really going to wow, a 4K Ultra HD Roku TV is a great choice.
4K TVs have 4x the resolution of HD TVs, delivering incredibly lifelike pictures. Tons of entertainment is available in 4K—and even HD content looks better on a 4K TV, thanks to a feature called "video upscaling". It’s a great experience you’ll love for years to come.
HDR picture-enhancing technologies
While HD and 4K Ultra HD are all about the detail, High Dynamic Range (HDR) is all about rich, vibrant color and striking contrast. You'll see clearer dark scenes and detailed bright scenes for a truly spectacular TV experience.
HDR
The term HDR usually refers to the most popular technology standard, HDR10. It makes color brighter and richer, particularly in vibrant scenes like landscapes and cityscapes.
HDR with Dolby Vision
Dolby Vision is a premium HDR technology which supports HDR10, but allows for an even wider range of colors. Entertainment becomes truly immersive, something you have to see to believe.
